Amounts of customs fees have been increased

Amendments were made to the amount of customs fees by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 6, 2018. According to the decision, the amount of customs fees for customs clearance of goods has been increased.

According to the amendments, the customs fee will be 15 AZN for goods with a customs value of up to 1,000 AZN, 60 AZN for goods with a customs value of 1,000-10,000 AZN, 120 AZN for goods in the range of 10,000-50,000 AZN, and 200 AZN for goods in the range of 50,000-100,000 AZN. If customs fees were collected the same for goods with customs value of more than 100,000 AZN before the amendments, At the moment, goods worth more than 100,000 AZN are also categorized. Thus, the customs fee will be collected at the rate of 300 manats for goods within the range of 100,000-500,000 AZN, 600 manats for goods within 500,000-1,000,000 AZN, 1,000 AZN for goods with customs value more than 1,000,000 AZN.

In addition, for customs clearance of vehicles imported into the customs territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, customs fee was set at 30 AZN for trucks and lorries, minibuses and buses, and 25 AZN for other vehicles. Installation of electronic locks (GPS devices) for vehicles without stationary GPS devices, the customs fee for customs escort via GPS service has been increased to 10 manat per 24 hours.

The amendments has came into force on September 5, 2018.
